Certified Transportation and Construction Express Program

Duration

Duration: 167.5 hours over 7-10 weeks

Its a 7–10 week Certified Transportation and Construction Express 
Transportation portion consists of: 
In-truck training 1:1 (1 Instructor/1 Student)
In-yard training (Group Session and 1:1) 
Classroom instruction includes  Employment in the Commercial Vehicle Industry, Vehicle Components & Systems, Basic Driving Techniques, Professional Driving Habits, Off-Road Tasks & Maneuvers, Documents & Paperwork, Vehicle Inspection, Hours of Service, Load Securement, Handling Emergencies, Defensive Driving, Map Reading/Trip Planning, Border Crossing, Laws & Regulations, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Air Brakes.  (Complete Air Brake training and testing is done in-house.)
Construction portion consists of:
Field training Group Session and 1:1  Loader/Backhoe

The Program will include the following certifications: ZTA Certificate of Achievement, TTSAO Certificate and Transcript, the Provincial A & Z Road Tests, Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate of Achievement.

Admission Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older, must have minimum Grade 10 English  must hold a valid Ontario full Class G license,

Duration: 304 hours over 9-12 weeks

Its a 9-12 week Certified Transportation and Construction Program 
Transportation portion consists of: 
In-truck training 1:1 (1 Instructor/1 Student)
In-yard training (Group Session and 1:1) 
Classroom instruction includes  Employment in the Commercial Vehicle Industry, Vehicle Components & Systems, Basic Driving Techniques, Professional Driving Habits, Off-Road Tasks & Maneuvers, Documents & Paperwork, Vehicle Inspection, Hours of Service, Load Securement, Handling Emergencies, Defensive Driving, Map Reading/Trip Planning, Border Crossing, Laws & Regulations, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Air Brakes.  (Complete Air Brake training and testing is done in-house.)

Field training: (Group Session and 1:1) Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader/Backhoe, and Skid-Steer

Must be 18 years of age or older, must have minimum Grade 10 English (or Wonderlic), must hold a valid Ontario full Class G license,

Located in Stevensville, Ontario, Zavcor Training Academy is a division of Zavcor Trucking Limited,  established in 1990, a family owned trucking company. WHAT WE DO

We take you through all the requirements for certification as a professional transport truck driver and prepare you to take the Ontario tractor-trailer (Class A) road test, which includes the new MELT requirements.
