Certified Heavy Equipment Operator Program Stand alone

Duration: 190 hours over 4 weeks
Once enrolled, the Heavy Equipment program will take 4 weeks to complete. 

The in class portion is 40 hours. All classes are held at our facility in Stevensville Ontario. It is hands on with the instructor present. Zavcor Training Academy does not believe in Zoom style training for this hands on course. 

In-Field:
In-field training will be conducted on the Excavator, Loader/Backhoe, Skid Steer and Bulldozer. The in-field program is three weeks or 150 hours and is a full-time program. The program is designed to provide you with the skill and knowledge to safely operate Excavators, Loader/Backhoes, and Bulldozers.

 

Certification:
Upon successful completion of the mandatory number of hours as set out by the MTCU and the student being able to safely and effectively manage all equipment, a “Heavy Equipment Operator” certificate will be issued including your skid steer certification

Located in Stevensville, Ontario, Zavcor Training Academy is a division of Zavcor Trucking Limited,  established in 1990, a family owned trucking company. The academy is registered as a Career College under the Career Colleges Act, 2005, and operates out of the same facility as the trucking company.

WHAT WE DO

We take you through all the requirements for certification as a professional transport truck driver and prepare you to take the Ontario tractor-trailer (Class A) road test, which includes the new MELT requirements.
